What Else can I Give?

  • ✽Food Supplies

    Here at Helping Hands we give TONS of food (literally!), so our pantry can always use more!

    Non-Perishable Staples that are always needed are as follows:

    Flour, sugar, corn bread mix, pancake mix, dried beans, bags of rice, canned soup, canned vegetables and fruit, ramen noodles, cereals, oatmeal, snack foods, macaroni and cheese boxes, dried fruits, nuts, seasonings such as salt and pepper, and cooking oils.

    Please make sure food donations are fresh and not expired or out of date. We DO NOT accept home canned meats or vegetables.

    Got extra garden produce?

    Having an abundant year and don’t know what to do with all that leftover squash? We will happily take it and all other garden extras and distribute it to the community!

  • ✽Item Donation

    Helping Hands takes mostly all donations as long as they are in good and resalable condition. All the items we sell go right back into the community!

    Items we don’t take are as follows:

    Stained, broken, or unusable items;

    Furniture that is ripped, stained, scratched up or soiled from pets, exposed springs, or missing cushions;

    Items that are missing parts or in need of repair;

    Clothes that are wet or smell of mold, mildew, heavy smoke, urine (human or pet), mothballs, etc;

    TVs that are older than seven years old;

    Pornographic or distasteful books;

    Items that have been stored in barns or storage buildings for excessive amounts of time and are soiled;

    Items that are bug-ridden, dust-filled, covered with spider webs or animal feces;

    We appreciate your cooperation in keeping the health of our donation employees and volunteers protected!
